This thread was originally posted as a single 'observation' - now in this our new and current GEC I have been encouraged to rename this thread to a more general one on Pareidolia observations you find out there (edit feb2017) - so be it:
Done! Put on your glasses, dim or clear... and post your replies on what you find and let's see if we see the same...
Original thread below. Update feb12 2017: changed thread name from formerly known as 'Big Horn face (Pareidolia in Google Earth and on Toasts)' to current
Wyoming landscape in Big Horn area resembles a face of a person with closed eye facing to the west. Eye to the left of placemark. Maybe Sitting Bull or George Armstrong Custer reflecting on the battle of the Little Bighorn that took place a few miles up north, back in 1876...
Updates 25 Aug 2015 when posted on nGEC:
When I 'found' this or at least 'see' this back in 2009, I never before had heard of pareidolia. Having found and posted this do not make me feel that I'm suffering from pareidolia ;-) But this is surely a fascinating phenomenon which most likely, sort of explain or support the origin of a lot of human made 'observations'.
hey friend! time has come to think over thread title again, e.g. as 'Pareidolia in Google Earth and on Toasts and on chimneys.' (:
This guy -reminded me Rózsa Sándor (hungarian name order/english wikipedia)- appeared on the indoor section of the chimney of the backyard hut. (sorry, no placemark!) If only were an old, worn daguerreotype of the legendary outlaw I thought yesterday evening. Now as editing this post I already see the differences, what is more; my colleague have seen 'nothing but patches' and 'maybe a heart shape'...)<
still thought would not be an off topic post to this thread. (for those who see the man's face (okay, then half-face) with mustache on my photos)
and BTW: A bit other stuff, still 'GE imagery tricks the eye' at Keyhole Art/Google Art by Hill, posted on 2005. 05. 16., where other links leading you to other "art-valued" screenshot collections just right by the start.
Faces in Google Earth by smickel, posted and has been left there on 2006. 12. 08., but embraced by other members. Pretty cool collection of links to e.g. above mentioned solos and genuine contributions.
Just now have checked last reply, a find from Libya by Thomas S. and it is hilarious! Sad, even not a coordinate given to screenie...: well, a try to find anyone? -I have already given up.
nice spotting, however seems to be a bit off topic with pareidolia.
check by archive imagery date at 2002 when it seems new, also line of a regular plantation and a small building can be seen. (plantation was not the best idea: not much of the trees survived standing in water)
so, well, sorry to say new friend, that it is not simply our eyes make trick on us, but someone actively helped us to see this head of a duck.

as a matter of fact, the whole thing definitely looks like a female plush-bear holding a battle-lance:
...the SOB sliced 2/3 of a 1000 years old country off with her weapon, causing 3,3 millions of ethnic hungarian people and all their descendants the most tragic turns of their lives, affecting the fate of all my nation until today and beyond!
sorry, I cannot smile with her! ...
