about
canadian archaeology I do not have much...
1. - some months ago I have spotted a GE Photo at >>
64.917256, -114.645218<< with an exciting title of "Ancient rock circles" .......
That appears natural. In past glacial areas, ice motion arranged rocks are not uncommon.
2. - after some search I have found The Majorville Cairn and Medicine Wheel (Iniskim Umaapi), .....
I have this and other stone wheels placemarked.
3. ..... I do not remember whether if he had something about Canada, .... James Q Jacobs -
archaeo - or visit his pages at >>>
jqjacobs.net/ ....
Go directly to my global placemarks file here:
Ancient Monument Placemarks --
www.jqjacobs.net/kml/ The KML is now 8.8 MB.Thanks for the kind words.
I've recently been focused on updates to some older files and lots of satellite imagery survey of new hi-res photos in the Amazon Geoglyphs region. I list and link updates here:
ArchaeoBlog --
www.jqjacobs.net/blog/I'm a few days late, in time for Pi Day, with completing the update of
Great Circles, Ancient Monuments, and Pi --
www.jqjacobs.net/kml/pi.kml. I'm still working on it, and I'm uploading the current version right now, 61,201 bytes. The file will change more soon. I'm still adding imagery to the balloons along with more data.
Welcome alendi, and pass along our work. Be sure to scroll back in time in the forums here for lots of data. Also, use Google Earth Pro as a stand-alone app with
Layers > Photos and
Layers > Gallery > Google Earth Community turned on. One of the largest online databases of ancient monuments is the
Megalithic Portal and their placemarks display in that layer.
