Hi everyone,
I've been meaning to make this thread for a long time now, but it's very overwhelming because there's so many different airlines, but perhaps we can make it a team effort, spread out over a long time, with a different letter of the alphabet each month.
The goal is to create a compendium of ALL the airlines from A to Z (and numbers), using both Google Streetview (ground level views) and Google Earth (top down views). Each month, we'll go through a different letter of the alphabet (A, B, C, ... G...Z) and everyone will share google streetview links and/or google earth kml files (and optionally a pic thereof) of an airplane airline showing the livery of an airline whose name starts with the letter of that month (example: A = American Airlines, C = Copa Airlines, I = Icelandair), etc. The plane can be on the ground (parked or taxiing) or in the air. You may need to go into historical imagery to find defunct airlines! Ideally just one image/file per airline, unless you're posting a different livery (old livery, retro livery, special livery) of that airline. Depending on how many people participate, perhaps we can make it a challenge - with points for people posting, and extra points for rare finds (like those airlines with few planes in their fleet, defunct airlines, airplanes in flight). I'll probably end up turning this into a Google Earth collection file for easier viewing.
When posting - please include the Airline Name in Bold at the top, the date of the image (in case the image updates, this'll help people find it in the future), the Google Streetview link and/or Google Earth kml file, and a picture (optional).

June 2021 is a special month, but a bit shorter -> since we're going to start with numbers (#), rather than letters (we'll start with the letter A in July).Since there are so few airlines that actually start with a number, I'm also adding a special exemption for this month -> we'll be looking for any airlines with a number anywhere in their name, not just as the starting letter. The name must contain the actual number, not the word for the number (so "1" counts, but "One" does not).
I'm retroactively changing this to only include airlines that START with a number, otherwise there are duplicates in the collection (from those starting with letters and numbers).
So -> please post any airlines you can find thatcontain start with numbers. This one's tricky, as there aren't that many and they are probably difficult to find, but the remaining week in June should be enough time.
Some airlines that contain numbers (that haven't been found yet, plus there could be more): 748 Air Services, etc.
