A collection of unusual, funny, working or just plain iconic behavior found on SV. Add your Human Behavior finds! A link isn't absolutely required, but please tell us where you found it! I'll start with some examples in Russia and E. Europe (I enhanced some for clarity). Selling potatoes in Kyrgyzstan. Selling potatoes in Magadan, E. Russia. A family walk across the river from the infamous Vorkuta Gulag, Russia. Abandoned decades ago. Africans in Zaporizhia, Ukraine. I wonder where they are from. Walking from the hospital in Pskov, Russia. Magadan, Far East Russia, one of the most tragic cities on earth. It was the transit point to the USSR's worst Gulags, the gold and uranium mines of the Kolyma region. It seemed appropriate to find a man burying something. Hauling wood in a Roma neighborhood of route 704B, Cârstieni, Romania. One of the most interesting roads I've toured on Street View.

Aw, thanks, farceur! Good to see you. I'm ashamed to admit I had to look up Colombo - I forgot where that is! Sri Lanka. What's he doing? To me, it looks like he's got cooking pots...

Fun post! Grab a whiskey at Simon LeGree's near Burnt Ranch in Northern California, then head outside for some RC car racing: G'day scraps. I'll go the whiskey (Diane will attest to that ) but unfortunately most of us don't live near there and I live in Melbourne, Australia so I don't think I'll be there anytime soon. Also whiskey + radio controlled cars = disaster so I'll leave that to you scraps. Hope you enjoy yourself there and have one for me. Hooroo. And those pots Diane each have one cobra in them. His monkey is to his right and the bags on his left I would think hold some creatures with nasty reputations. Richo.

Let's take a stroll down Candido de Oliveira St. in the hills above Rio de Janeiro... The SV car is approached by a special greeter. He has something in his hand. Yes, it's a gun, and he seems to be looking right at the SV car. Reasons I think it's a gun and not a mechanic's tool: very purposeful body language; he is holding object like a gun, not like a tool; he is coming at the SV car in both screenshots; I'm American and I know what guns look like, they're on the news all the time (a-hem). I was not able to stop the path midway between the two scenes with this man. Maybe someone else can. If you take the right turn at the "Y" you can see him still coming toward the SV car. EDIT: I was informed by syzygy later in this thread that the gun was blurred out at the SV location. I have no idea when or by whom.
gun in rio.kmz (830 B) (By the way, there are older VW cars and vans everywhere. No wonder: "They have produced over 20 million vehicles in Brazil, having been market leader for the majority of their sixty years in existence." From Volkswagen do Brasil.) Here is another find, also involving a weapon, this time SV-on-foot in Favela Sao Carlos. There is also what appears to be a police mini-Station at the top of the street. There are other views of the knife as you proceed up the hill. The SV walker continues around the curve tot he left of the policeman and it's a very interesting tour through a narrow passageway and out to a hilltop. knife favela sao carlos.kmz (813 B)

Just have bumped into a picture of the day article about St. Stephen's Green, a park in the heart of Dublin pictured from above. After looked for myself on GE, I have decided to do a walkaround in that beautiful, sunny park (good weather StreetView imagery) as in real we have a cloudy, rainy day today here in southeastern Hungary. Started the walk from a southern point and tried to find the bridge between the lakes on the upper left when passed this guy. Before I should have went pale I realised, (fortunately) it's not that finger! (: not that finger.kmz (791 B) *** and another find, a sad example of scavenging from the garbage already been posted by me

Czechslovakian Highschool students on a field trip in Prague. Since 1993 there is no Czechoslovakia anymore. We have a Czech Republic and a Slovakia, and this is quite a huge difference for the two nations, believe me! Cool find anyway! Best! g

striking shot! -every time I talk about poverty, I always forget to mention Mid- and South America. (Over 8.9 million Brazilians live on less than $2 a day) Watching for Mamas clothes ..and it is scene of a quarter, that is quite in order as compared with darkest slums of Brazilian (Latin-American?) big cities.

But in Rio de Janeiro is the main street of the favela Complexo do Alemão to explore. The police probably only enter the area with their weapons drawn.

There are hardly any Street View pictures in the big favelas. But in Rio de Janeiro... other good location I could mention is Manaus. I had a placemark of SV of an old man with a horrible bad-leg sitting on a poliester chair on the pavement, but can not find it up at the moment...)< only a quite off-topic SV by now from the location: AVON Cosmetics (HQ?) - Manaus, Brazil: AVON Cosmetics - Manaus.kmz (824 B)
