V2/A4 attacks on Paris, 1944.

The V-2 literature tends to stress the number of rockets impacting London, England. In fact London (1358) was a close second to Antwerp (1610). Many other cities were targets, including Paris (22), which is seldom mentioned in the literature. Paris was targeted after its liberation in an attempt to disrupt the Allies in the city. The majority of these missiles were launched from the Merzig/Greimerath area of the Saarland area, although the exact launching site, despite a diligent search, has not been located. (Any information re this site would be welcome). Regarding the locations of the strikes, information is sparse and contradictory. Correct locations are marked in red, approximations are in yellow.
