The Avro Canada CF-100 "Canuck" was a twin-engine fighter aircraft produced by the Canadian manufacturer Avro Canada. The CF-100 was less like a classic short-range fighter than a long-range (3,200 km) interceptor. This was due to the fact that there were only a few military airfields that were far apart from each other in the vast, climate-related almost uninhabited areas of Canada. A large range was therefore essential. Of the total of 692 CF-100s produced in different variants, 53 were delivered to the Belgian Air Force between 1957 and 1964. As far as is known, these are all scrapped. Top speed was 891 km/h More information in the placemarks. (With thanks to forgottenjets!)
