The Curtiss C-46 Commando was a transport aircraft manufactured by the US aircraft manufacturer Curtiss-Wright. It was always overshadowed by the C-47/DC-3; it is often forgotten that the C-46 was the largest twin-engine aircraft in the world at the time and more powerful than the Douglas. During WWII, the Commando was mainly used in Asia and the Pacific because of its range and robustness. From 1940 to 1945 a total of 3181 C-46s were built in different variants. The top speed was 435 km/h More finds welcome! Attachments:Curtiss C-46 in SV.kmz (4.32 KB)
