Last V2 to fall on London.

Early in the morning of Tuesday, March 27, 1945 a V-2 rocket, launched in Holland, made a direct hit on Hughes Mansions, a three building tenement on Vallance Road. Two of the three buildings were destroyed with the deaths of 135 and injuries to 40. Ironically many of the victims were European Jewish refugees.This would prove to be the final V-2 to fall on London. In this 1945 aerial photo the site has been cleared.
