Vimy Oak Tree Project.

This triangular plot of land is 1.6 hectare of the 101 hectares of French soil which has been deeded to Canada in recognition of the Canadian contribution to the Battle of Vimy Ridge (1917). The circle contains oak trees to replace the ones destroyed in the battle. The diverging lines focus on the Vimy Memorial.
