- Disease Outbreaks
- Architecture (such as the homes designed by Frank Loyd Wright)

What these maps do is enable the student to digitally experience history and science for themselves. Each map is listed in the Places sidebar and when you click of any of the maps all the location placemarks are listed in chronological, date or number order in order to put events in the proper order. And when a student clicks on any item in the list the map zooms to that location real close so they can see ruins. If they click on the zoomed in placemark it provides a concise description, quote or other info. Many have links to other reliable sources. Many of the maps are based on authoritative sources such as the Linnean Biological Society of London for their coordinates they permitted me to use their coordinates of hydrothermal vents and cold seeps or the Royal Geological Explorer Mikeal Strandberg who emailed me his daily location while exploring Yemen in 2012.
The famous explorer expeditions are plotted on the actual books written by the explorers. This link provides links to those copyright free books you can read while tracking it in the map. While some maps use Wikipedia lists, each plotted location has been verified by other sources and the location in many cases was labeled in Google Earth. If the student turns on the terrain layer they can digitally walk the path of the explorer and see the location like the explorer did. If the student zooms all the way down under the ocean and adjusts the horizon they can see the locations of hydrothermal vents and cold seeps as though they were a deep sea diver.
