Has the old Google Earth Community disappeared already?

I tried to get back to the old GEC to check a date on a post, and I was unable to find it in any way. I tried my old logon link, I tried a link back from a placemark in the GEC Layer, and I tried one of the links back to an old post that I placed when I reposted it here. All attempts resulted in a blank page, with an option to search Google Groups. Does anybody know how to get back in?

I've just checked and the same thing is happening with me. The links either redirect to the home page, or show up blank...

I checked 10 mins ago when I first saw your post and got the same blank page as you did.  

Just tried again, and the links seem to be working.  

Would you please try again and let me know if your links work now?

I tried all three entry points again about 38 minutes after your post.  I got the same result, i.e., no entry.  But if you didn't get in, and then did, it seems likely that some changes are in progress.  I guess it makes sense to make changes while the backside of the world is the most likely to be on line, while the US and Europe are not.  Don't you have a home to go to, Frank?

11 minutes later, and I'm back in. Top page looks a bit different, with links to the old forums. The old forums are then listed below, but my guess is that the new stuff is there in preparation to delete what's below. I sure hope they give us back a search function.

I've just checked, get the home page but the links to forums turn up a blank page. If I refresh the blank page it returns to home page. All as previously stated by others. Nothing works for me.

I forgot to add that it doesn't work from placemarks for me either - tried lots of them.

This was a bit of a surprise to all of us, though as Mods in the oGEC we did know it was coming, we just weren't sure exactly when.

Anyhow, it's caused a bit of a hiccup to the forum and I know that Craig is on the case and working to fix links etc. Please be patient whilst this goes on in the background.

Normal service will hopefully be resumed shortly

Thank you BDJ.  I get twitchy around Google hiccups - can't think why.

Hi Folks, we're working through an issue where the mid level landing pages aren't being allowed to load. There is a fix, but we have to wait for the update to be done.

The mid level landing pages are:

Earth - Moderator Selected
Earth
Off World
Education
Support and Answers
Archive
Members' Open Area

On each of the above mid-level landing pages, you'll see links to the individual forums (just like the top GEC page shows links in the header section). With the new user look of Groups, the old links (below the header) will not be displayed, so I am replicating all of those links in the header. If you view the oGEC with the old user look, you'll see a duplicate of the links below the header, but if you use the new look, you'll only see what's in the header.

If you want to, you can switch from the old look to the new look (and vice versa), by clicking on the GEAR icon in the upper right portion of the Groups window, and selecting the option for the new or old look.

I hope that explains what's happening.

I have last 12-24 hour, during a 6-8 tryouts, not seen any link from new main page do work to actual forum/subfoums and actual threads/post/files.
ONLY switch to "..old design" gives access to the content.

Yes, those links are broken. They are the mid-level landing pages that I referenced in my previous post. They do not work currently. There is a fix for the issue, but it hasn't been pushed live yet, so the only way it will work is if you switch to the older viewing method.

Thanks for you reply. Looking forward to see and refer a 'final' old GEC forum while life and earth continues in here.

A small comment: should I take it as viewing current oGEC is unpredictable OR should I worry that I (both logged in and not) at this thread "Sports and Hobbies - Tennis courts Denmark" displays that OP is deleted...
