Set time slider to 1943. An example of WW2 airfield camouflage. This field enabled the Luftwaffe to support the Kriegsmarine. The perimeter track can be discerned amid the false roads and fields painted on the ground. Airfield camo was employed by both the Axis and the Allies in order to confuse navigators and bomb aimers. I would love to see this in colour! (Compare 1943 with 2004)
