In 2007 Richard and Monica Chapin erected a 29 ton steerable parabolic reflector in the Arizona desert. The purpose of this device was to reflect magnified moonlight which was reputed to alleviate several diseases. Needless to say there is no scientific evidence to support these claims. Chapin was certain that moonlight was not reflected sunlight. NASA disagreed with him! By 2011 the mirror had been taken out by a wind storm. The best view is 11/2009.
