This radio listening post was set up by the F.C.C. in this farm house early in WW2 in order to monitor enemy radio traffic originating in Europe, Africa and the United States. Over 24 K meters (80 K feet) of wire and 11 antennae were installed. The station was highly successful. One antenna remains visible located immediately across the street.
