Latest GE/GM image is fine but be careful how you post your image, it'll be easy to sea what you might reveal.

Ah, thanks for the answer! I was half expecting another clue, an easier one for those or us who are not in the military or are not military experts (am I the only one around here?) and cannot tell the name of any Russian ship, submarine, airplane, missile, rocket or "lesser known Lun Class not to be confused with the earlier Caspian Sea Monster" just by looking at them from above, covered in snow or not. I did see the word "sea" in your post, I did see the tiny map showing it was in Russia, I did ask Google to translate "rescuer" into russian for me (not sure I got the same word though), and I did look at photos of russian military equipment, vehicles and weapons, but that's pretty much all I could do. There are tons of those And the fact that I had heard of the damn thing (or maybe the "better" known one, I'm not sure) says a lot about how hard it was to guess what it was. It is mentioned and plays a major role in the 2008 James Bond continuation novel by Sebastian Faulks called Devil May Care, which takes place in 1967, after the events of The Man With The Golden Gun, Ian Fleming's last novel. I had read it at the time, and read the Wikipedia article about the Ekranoplan (which James Bond gets to pilot in the novel). But it was 15 years ago and I didn't make the mental connexion with something I had mostly forgotten about, even though it is described in detail in the novel... Now if there are non experts in the history of russian military equipment who still found this, I'm interested to know how you did it. Thank you.

I must admit that I thought this would ring bells with just about everyone. 5th one down. I guess I'm not just about everyone.😊 Thanks for your reply. I should have guessed the word "sea" was in the nickname of this rocket shaped thing right in the middle of Russian land, I suppose. 😊 Btw, my google search only returns a plane, not a monster, and in 10th position, but I would've jumped on it! And found it. But for that, I should have already known what it was, making this search unnecessary, shouldn't I?... 🤔 A typical case of "it's easier when you already know the answer". 😁 Thanks anyway. 😎
