Well found alchemist and krenek. There are probably some visual clues to be found in the SV image, but here's a clue to my clue in the subject line: (wat) droeg Dela (?)
Good luck!

This thread is (and I am too) begging for a clue. I posted this to bring it up from total oblivion.

Here is another clue: I saw a doe walking (or running) follows the same pattern as the puns in Perry Como's song What did Della wear -> Delaware, but in a different language, i.e. you'll have to translate it. This lion holding a coat of arms featuring a doe running is also visible in the first image: Apparently there was a time when you could see flocks of dear jumping around in this place. Good luck!

Not sure I understand why walking becomes running all of a sudden, or if both are the same in that language, but here goes, thanks to the clue:

First of all it is not visible at all. Not recognizable as a doe, but visible it is. I only meant to say that the yellow post with the coat of arms perched on it is close to the church.

Absolutely nothing is recognizable on that post (I mean pole). Anyway I don't understand the clues, I just had the idea that it must be in a country whose language some people know here so I searched for that country plus church tower and bingo. (Which means I should have found it at the first place without a clue with this method)

And how should one find out that 1. this English sentence is to be translated 2. this English sentence is to be translated into Dutch 3. the Dutch word is at the same time a Dutch city's name Unless you are from Holland (or Belgium - Hi Walter), you know the language and you know the city The idea that you should translate the words in bold into the language of the country where the SV photo was taken doesn't seem particularly strange to me, by F&G standards. Not stranger than, say, having to look for coordinates hidden in the image. And even if it was difficult to find (happens all the time in F&G), the Delaware clue should have pointed the way. An English name like Doewalking would have been too easy, a dead giveaway, and besides, the place doesn't look like Britain or the US, does it? So the idea of translation doesn't seem too outlandish - to me it doesn't. It's not as if this is the first time in the history of F&G that translation was the key to the solution.

I haven't been in the USA and only in a very small part of Britain but I wouldn't say so.

Not my best ever puzzle maybe. Anyway, well done all those who solved it. The answer: Hindeloopen (hinde-lopen), Friesland, the Netherlands. 52.94325° N, 5.39879° E
