Hello GE community. Long time user, and fan of Google Earth and Google maps. I use both together to search for places and things constantly, to "fly over" and search for hidden derelict places, and the worlds visible, above water shipwrecks along the coasts of, everywhere ! There is a community of shipwreck finders that have marked so many wrecks, that it was like a Christmas present the day I learned about them. If there is a community similar, that locates abandoned and derelict houses, I'd like to find them. So far I've found over 1,000 abandoned house locations across the United States alone (more like 1,700 I think), with others in Canada and Europe. Some truly incredible places out there, so much more than Abandoned things. One time, when meeting my son's new friend from Europe, we got to talking about his life in an orphanage, and a girl he liked from the neighborhood. Within 2 hours of first meeting him, I found his orphanage from his memories of things he saw in the area, along with the flower shop the girl grew up in, with the phone number on the window. I don't remember how the story ended, but it was fun and exciting to do that for a person. And wonderful street views on Google maps, with it's timeline, brings it all together !
