In Ohio there are three octagon earthworks, two survive, Newark and High Banks. In the Amazon there are 1,000 plus known geometric earthworks and zanjas and only one of them is an octagon, dubbed the Acre Octagon.
I recently examined the spatial relationship of the Acre Octagon and the Ohio octagons and several of these new placemarks provide results of interest.
