Just a little walk through my neighbourhood. This particular street is nothing special, but I still found some things that stand out. After finding these little sights you will know more about this street than 99% of my fellow Amsterdammers. A - Accordion man B - A small trace of the Amsterdam SchoolC - Some kind of carpenter's tool D - Holding on for dear life E - The reading chicken. F - It reminds me of the draaiorgel, a large, heavily ornamented barrel organ that was once synonymous with Amsterdam. Still frequently to be seen and heard on market days and where the tourists are. G - One of three former schools in this street, now put to other uses. By the end of the 19th century there used to live about 80,000 people in De Jordaan, many of them under less than healthy circumstances. This number is now down to ca. 19,500. H - This may be the tallest and the fairest of the whole street.
All Street View. Good luck!

Well done everybody. { Answers}Anjeliersstraat (Carnation Street) is a street in an Amsterdam neighbourhood named De Jordaan. While some people think that name refers to the river Jordan, a more likely explanation is that it derives from French jardin, garden. A more common word besides anjelier is anjer. The solutions in a little GE map:
