Is there any possibility to count the number of placemaks in a KMZ folder? With thousands of places it's very tiring to do it manually.

Check kml2xls link in my signature! ( ;
At least I always use that converter before uploading my frequently forthcoming updates of my mounds kmz.
Browse in the kmz folder and it will convert it to a xls file. Last row number minus one is the number of the placemarks it contains.
Oh - be aware that it counts everything (lines and polygons as well) so you may do further minuses for the needed result.
Hope this helps!

Thank you, I will try. It's maybe better than to count thousands of placemarks in a folder by hand and brain.
