This one kilometer, steeply banked circuit was constructed in 1923 as part of an all-encompassing residential city-garden development. (It even included an airport!) The inaugural race was held in 1923 for two litre and GP cars. It was initially criticized for the abrupt entrances to the banked sections and its short length: it encountered financial difficulties soon after opening. A few sporadic races were held until the Spanish Civil War ended racing activities in 1936. A poultry producing facility now occupies the infield. The track itself is in good condition. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aut%C3%B3dromo_de_Sitges-TerramarSitges-Terramar- Another forgotten racing c....kmz (1.11 KB)
