B-2 Spirit

The Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit is a four-engine strategic bomber produced by the US manufacturer Northrop. The flying wing designed B-2 is the most famous stealth bomber and is by far the most expensive fighter in the world. It is used exclusively by the United States Air Force. Images on the ground of RAF Fairford (UK), Palmdale Air Force Plant 42 (California), Whiteman AFB (Missouri), Hickham AFB (Hawaii) and in flight east of Kansas City.

Great finds, I often look at the Airbases on Guam and Diego Garcia for these great aircraft.

Now that this post has been moved I see it was already found by willi1.

Whilst I was digging around the story of the B2, I found that there had been a couple of accidents with these unique planes.



On the night of 12/13th September 2021 a B2 suffered damage to the wing following a landing gear collapse. The plane in question is currently undergoing repairs at Plant 42.

Dated 17th April 2023 I wonder if this is Spirit of Georgia outside the hanger at Plant 42 at Palmdale? Spirit of Georgia?
