Florence, Oregon. I'm guessing it's a fir, but could just as well be pine. Nothing else special here, I just liked the way it crashed so perfectly intact and made a nice place for kids to jump into the water. It probably woke up the neighbors.
Why do trees fall over? It's all about the roots. This is a perfect place for roots to rot.
