People,
After playing with GEP for a little while it occurs to me that it would be good to be able to:
* Select a number of way points for a tour
* Have GEP create a smooth video of the tour
- instead of me jerkily moving around . .
It would also be good, in that tour, to be able program it so that when a way point is reached - say an actual street address - that the view of the address / location:
* Could change to 3D and be recorded as part of the video
* A circuit of the address could be made so the address / location could be viewed from all angles
Is what I am thinking possible?
Thanks,
Phil.

Hi Philip,
In 2010 I had a Streetview tour like this:
<gx:Playlist> <gx:FlyTo> <Camera> <gx:ViewerOptions> <gx:option enabled="0" name="historicalimagery"></gx:option> <gx:option enabled="0" name="sunlight"></gx:option> <gx:option name="streetview"></gx:option> </gx:ViewerOptions> <longitude>5.374420999999996</longitude> <latitude>52.15282300000001</latitude> <altitude>2.499999999298835</altitude> <heading>86.63330986981487</heading> <tilt>92.50053578406794</tilt> <roll>-9.54166404439055e-15</roll> <gx:altitudeMode>relativeToSeaFloor</gx:altitudeMode> </Camera> </gx:FlyTo> <gx:Wait><gx:duration>5.028571990806086e-06</gx:duration> </gx:Wait> <gx:FlyTo> <gx:duration>0.1135141477478783</gx:duration> <gx:flyToMode>smooth</gx:flyToMode> <Camera> <gx:ViewerOptions> <gx:option enabled="0" name="historicalimagery"></gx:option> <gx:option enabled="0" name="sunlight"></gx:option> <gx:option name="streetview"></gx:option> </gx:ViewerOptions> <longitude>5.374420999999996</longitude> <latitude>52.15282300000001</latitude> <altitude>2.499999999298835</altitude> <heading>86.63330986981487</heading> <tilt>92.50053578406794</tilt> <roll>-9.54166404439055e-15</roll> <gx:altitudeMode>relativeToSeaFloor</gx:altitudeMode> </Camera> </gx:FlyTo> <gx:Wait><gx:duration>1.408862020173046</gx:duration> </gx:Wait> <gx:FlyTo> <gx:duration>1.025691533421195</gx:duration> <gx:flyToMode>smooth</gx:flyToMode> <Camera> <gx:ViewerOptions> <gx:option enabled="0" name="historicalimagery"></gx:option> <gx:option enabled="0" name="sunlight"></gx:option> <gx:option name="streetview"></gx:option> </gx:ViewerOptions> <longitude>5.374728999999999</longitude> <latitude>52.15282299999998</latitude> <altitude>2.499999999662416</altitude> <heading>86.79944314697136</heading> <tilt>92.50026787939261</tilt> <roll>-0</roll> <gx:altitudeMode>relativeToSeaFloor</gx:altitudeMode> </Camera> </gx:FlyTo> <gx:Wait><gx:duration>1.010235379077585</gx:duration> </gx:Wait> . . .
I'ḿ not aware However of a working KML2.2 tag <gx:option name="3D"></gx:option> which would be needed for toggling the viewer according tot your wishes. Would be great since I suppose it's a lot faster than loading Streetview imagery in the early days of broadband connection to the internet.
What is possible of course is to have people fly along a prepared KML path AND instruct your viewers to activate the 3D layer BEFORE they start your tour.
