The latest collection to get rebuilt from my base data is the B-47 ( Wiki). The B-47 was created as a result of needing to replace the B-29/B-50 with a jet equivalent after WWII. Initially conceived as a 4 engine swept wing design, the final production version featured a rather unusual 6 engine format. The type was delivered to the USAF from 1951 to 1965, with subsequent upgrades prolonging its life until 1969. The final recorded flight of a B-47 was in 1986 when a B-47E was restored to flightworthy condition for a one-time flight from China Lake to Castle AFB, where it remains to this day. Of the 2032 aircraft produced, only 22 still exist to my knowledge. All 22 are in this collection. If anyone knows of anymore, then please let me know. Cheers, Sean.
