Welcome to the forum, danman !
Such objects in the desert are not uncommon and it's hard to say what this is. I don't think they are ruins. Maybe temporary pen for livestock. The desert there is not dead. Depending on the season, enough forage grows. Or a (former?) place for oilwelling. A caravan point is also conceivable.

Agree. - It is relatively in the close neighborhood of Sarir oil fields and if you zoom into some of the labelled places on GE (desktop), you will see similar structures around pump sites. I have found a somewhat relevant GE Photo too: ***Off topic, however somewhat fits here: Cca. 15 kilometers South of your coordinates a GE / GEC Layer mark (blue i) signs place of the "Lady be Good" aircraft crash site. This layer-placemark's description contains a Nietzsche quotation that have made my day: "Convictions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies."This is up also for everyone who like to spot "newly discovered" or other "mysterious" things on satellite imageries... ( ; *** Welcome to the board danman ! Do not hesitate to post your spottings anytime you feel, you'd need some answers or at least new ideas! - That is what this community is all about! ( :

Thanks, you guys! I've played around on google for years and just recently discovered this community. I'm pretty stoked to get logical answers to dumb questions! lol Maybe, just maybe, one of my dumb questions may not be so dumb, some day....

it looks more like a water well site. So the lines are attempts at making a water pool, with a long line so that the herd can get in to drink faster. (more length per volume ) You can see white inside and beside each trough , with the white to the side looking like its blowing in the wind... the white spoil ?
