Germanwings Flight 4U9525, an Airbus 320 aircraft, was lost at approximately 0940 UTS on 24 March 2015 with 144 passengers and 6 flight crew aboard. There were no survivors.
French accident investigators have recovered the cockpit voice recorder and appear to have found that when the captain left the flight deck to answer a call of nature, the co-pilot locked him out and put the aircraft into a descent, crashing the aircraft into the French Alps some 65 miles north of Nice.
Post 9/11, all commercial airliners are required to have lockable doors to the flight-deck to deter hijacking.
