Heaven's Gate - Tianmen Mountain - Hunan China

This location was difficult to pinpoint thanks to the poor imagery on Google Earth, and no markers in Google Maps. I found the location by matching landmarks in photographs and video .

Heaven's Gate ( 'Heave's Doorway' in Chinese ) is a cave located in Tianmen Mountain. There are 99 curves in the roadway, and 999 steps to reach the cave.
There are many paths around the mountain, and cable cars and an escalator to get to the top if you do not want to climb up the paths.

Way back in 2009 I had also marked the location of Heavenly Gate bottom at 29°03'12.8"N 110°28'53.5"E. It is not very far from the location marked by KitsuneFox

I was not aware there was better quality imagery available on GE ... the entire area where the bottom platform is located is in deep shadow.
In the video I posted above, around time stamp 7:18 , shows the exact angle where the 999 stairs are in comparison to the bottom platform .
I did note the "Locks of Love" marker on GE, however that marker is off the platform by roughly 0.5 kilometres.
I'm looking into the area more to see what else is available. Incredible place
