There we go linking Facebook and Twitter to the GEC.
However, Facebook waits for the whole thread to be completely rendered before getting initialized. So, keep patient especially in big threads.
Also, the current Proboards structure lets the Facebook script pick up a random image from the thread. Mostly, it is the first image. If you do not want the image it picks up to be the preview image in the Facebook post, there is a trick: remove those image(s) from your post, then share, then put the image(s) back to your forum post. Facebook caches the pages and, therefore, it may not understand the image is removed. So, try to do the trick before you attempt to share it. If you miss it, let me know and I will clear Facebook's cache for you.
I included the Twitter button just for quick access. Actually, it is not much useful since Twitter accepts preview images only if the image is tweeted beforehand. See the spoiler how complex it is.
I'd prefer to ignore the button here and paste the topic URL while tweeting at step 2 and type my texts there and finish. But please be sure you paste the "original topic's URL". It must be something like
followed by the ID of the thread that I marked by "X"s.

In short, to share a forum topic in Twitter, with an image using the button in threads;
1. Keep your image on your harddrive ready or copy the URL of the image in your topic here,
2. Switch to your Twitter account, start a new tweet by clicking the image icon. Either (a) attach your image located on your harddrive or (b) just paste the image URL you have copied to the file-name text box,
3. Tweet it,
4. Click the image in your tweeted post on Twitter,
5. Copy its URL in the address bar,
6. Switch back to your topic here in this forum,
7. Click the Tweet button,
8. Paste the image URL you have copied and insert your texts whereever you want,
9. Tweet it.
