Amac Aerospace is a Swiss company that carries out maintenance work as well as individual conversions and cabin fittings on narrow-body and wide-body aircraft for business and private customers as well as governments at its locations at Basel-Mulhouse Airport. The customers for this exclusive segment mostly come from the Middle East / Gulf region. The company claims to be the largest private provider of such services worldwide. In Google Earth / Google Maps you can currently see: Both government aircraft Japan Air Force One and Two (Boeing 777-300ER Aircraft Number: 80-1111 and 80-1112), which replaced the previous Boeing 747-47C in April 2019. The government aircraft of the Gabonese Republic (Boeing 777-236 TR-KPR) has been there for maintenance and renovation work since 2016. But since the payment is not clear, it will remain for a while. The Boeing 747-8i (VQ-BSK) is a flying palace and almost brand new at the time with just under 450 flight hours. It was the private jet of the Qatar Prince Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani. After his death, it was no longer needed and should be sold. The Emir of Qatar then gave them to the Republic of Turkey to show his solidarity with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The machine is now repainted and fly as a Turkish government jet TRK1 (TC-TRK). Attachments:AMAC.kmz (807 B)
