It looks like something right out of "Alice in wonderland". I could imagine a babushka sitting up there watching over the town with hawk eyes

I think that's the dog's balcony, syzygy.
Love those old wood houses, everything goes crooked and fairytale-looking! I understand what you mean about the atmosphere of childhood memory. It's hard to describe.
