This site came to my attention while watching 'Antiques Roadshow' when the son of the contractor (Robert Phillips) appeared with some artifacts from the construction. The jetty was constructed in 1970 by the artist/sculpture Robert Smithson. It is interesting to view it at differing time periods to appreciate the effect of varying lake levels on the structure.
