Concrete (!?) Ships.

Concrete ships, built during both world wars, wee designed to economize on steel. Here they are used to form a breadwater for a logging pond.

The Wikipedia article lists quite a number of current locations of concrete ship. There are more than you might have believed!

The Netherlands is still building concrete barges.

The wreck of the S.S. Palo Alto was beached perpendicular to Seacliff Beach, California, for many years. It's 100 years old this year. I used to live across the street from the cliff that overlooked it. A pier was built so people could walk out to look at it, but every year it became more damaged. The ship and the pier met their final fate in big storms of 2016 and 2017. 

What's left of the SS Palo Alto...but it was always just called The Cement Ship.
