Can some one please suggest a good freeware (win 8) or online tool for converting HTML to BB code. I recently used Gary Hood's HTML To BB Code Converter and it played havoc with white spaces. Many blank spaces were removed and I had to re-insert these one by one. I don't need it for short posts but I write all the long posts in HTML so I need it for long posts.

Hi, Proboards' BB is more advanced than that we used in our old forum. Just replacing the less and greater characters with square brackets will make the HTML codes work here as BB codes. Some exceptional HTML features you may already know may not exist in BB codes. So they won't be saved when you submit the post. If you still would not want to use Notepad, here is one tool advised for replacing texts. It has saving etc capabilities: textmechanic.com/Find-and-Replace-Text.html

Thanks Tek,
In future I will follow your advice and replace the html code brackets < > with [ ]. I use Editpad Lite as my text editor and it has a good find/replace capability so I don't see any problem. Let me try it out.
All the best
Jamal
