An interesting 1943(?) aerial photograph of Hamburg, Germany. Note - toggle between 1943 and 2000 on the time slide to see the differences. Turning 'Roads' on and off is also helpful. The inner Alster has been covered with rafts (B) in order to shift focus to the fake bridge (A) 500 meters north-west. The main train station (C) has had street-sized straw mats lain across it to simulate roads A main rail intersection (D) has been painted (?) white in order to hide it. I suspect that this picture is misdated because there is no sign of the two FLAK towers under construction. As well there seems to be little bomb damage which you would expect by 1943.
