I have over 5,000 Panoramio images, selected, very best archaeology images to illustrate ancient monument placemarks, embedded in my KML files. They are slowly disappearing from the web and I wonder if there is some place where the images are stored. I saw an online map, MapSights, which displays them from domain I cannot access: static.panoramio.com.storage.googleapis.com/photos/large//56507244
Aside from doing 5,000 individual searches on the WayBack Machine, is there an easy solution, a single URL to substitute? The web.archive.org URL are complicated and sorted by date of impression.

I'm not aware of anywhere that can help, like 95% of Google products, they have left millions losing out and in limbo. Maybe some member will enlighten us both. But won't hold my breath.

My understanding was that they are simply gone, not archived. Replaced by informative selfies, gas stations and shots of hamburgers. I had over 10,000 on Panoramio, but most of my posts are no longer viable. My Pano photos don't show on GE, despite Google's early promise that if we synced our Pano accounts with Google Photos (or something like that, it's been awhile), they would remain on the layer. I did, but they didn't. I stopped keeping track of Google's changing instructions and promises regarding Panoramio.
To paraphrase Steve: too bad for us.

First, I've not checked in on this board in quite some time.
Second, the Web Archive did a complete backup of Panoramio, at least of almost every photo complete. Some of the tag links are not backed up, some internal page linking is non-functional, but you can find the images by entering their URLs in the search text box.
Third, I have not done the work of restoring all 5,000 images, but I have updated all the URLs I had tweeted and I keep afdding those updates to my main KML file, links here: Ancient Monument Placemarks, www.jqjacobs.net/kml/
