The Ice Age National Scenic Trail is one of 11 designated scenic trails in the USA. The Ice Age Trail is a 1200-mile footpath extending through the state of Wisconsin along the terminal moraine of the last period of glaciation. The Gibraltar Segment is short, but features outstanding views from the Rocks of Gibraltar State Natural Area which protects the highest point in Columbia County WI. The Rocks of Gibraltar feature is a flat-topped butte. The area is forested and features a campsite for backpackers. You can read more at my blog Wisconsin-Explorer Gibraltar Segment
