Has anyone noticed the latest imagery for Giza Egypt has been getting worse.
How often do GE acquire new images , and why would they put up images that are clearly blurred or substantially degraded in clarity than previous ones ?
Any comments much appreciated .
Not only are the recent images greatly reduced in clarity , but for some reason only known to Google Earth ,their past images have been changed in that the original image colour has been replace with a grey hew , why would they do this, why change the colour hew on 5 year old images, i know this has occurred because i took certain screen grabs of those dates, but now taking a look at that time stamp they are changed, WHY ?

As clearly worse I would not designate the current pictures (3/27/2018). They are not much different than earlier images when using the time slider. What is missing here are shadows. Probably, the recording was made at noon time, as the sun is at the end of March about Cairo about 60° high. And the angles of inclination of the Giza Pyramids are a little over 50° and therefore all sides of the pyramid are reached by the sunlight. The short or missing shadows make the image sharpness look worse, it blurs the contours, especially with little contrast to the natural colors of the area.
And how often does GE get new pictures? I would like to know that too.

I am wondering if this degradation in image clarity around Giza is due to Google Earth purposely downgrading its Giza images because of its images being used to find ancient tombs, that then get robbed, this tomb robbing has been going on for 5000 years , but its only since the onset of this type of satellite imagery that its now possible to scan in detail possible sites where very valuable items can be found and sold on the black market. Am i starting a conspiracy , maybe , but it could well be a logical reason for why these latest Google Earth images are substandard vis-a-vis clarity. Heres their latest Giza image. As clear as MUD
