Original and replica

Karlštejn Castle is a large Gothic castle founded in 1348 by Charles IV, Roman-German Emperor and King of Bohemia. It is located about 30 kilometers southwest of Prague above the village of the same name and is one of the most famous and most visited castles in the Czech Republic.

But also in Batchelor in the Northern Territory of Australia you can visit the castle. Bernie Havlik, a Czech immigrant and retired miner from the nearby uranium mine Rum Jungle, has built it.

An approximate replica of Stonehenge can be found in Elberta, Alabama, called Bamahenge. The idea for Bamahenge came from George Barber, an Alabama billionaire. It is made of fiberglass and was installed in 2012 by Virginia artist Mark Cline. Incidentally, the sculpture "Lady in the Lake" comes from the same artist. This can be seen about 1.4 miles south.
