The Gulfstream G550 CAEW is an Air Traffic Control (AWACS) aircraft and is known as the Conformal Airborne Early Warning (CAEW) because its Active Electronically Scanned Array radar antennas are not mounted over the fuselage as a separate plate, but are aerodynamically mounted along the fuselage are. The G550 CAEW is one of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) equipped with the radar system Elta EL / W-2085, satellite communication systems, four large antennas with electronic beam scanning and operator stations for six persons.
