Just wondering if anyone knows why there's a visual difference between Google Earth Pro and Google Maps in regards to the atmosphere and horizon line? The Google Maps version looks much nicer. Is there a setting I am missing in Google Earth or are they just different?

There are differences between Google Maps and Google Earth, but I do not know where they come from. Certainly a matter of taste, which is better. To display the horizon line in Google Earth, check the elevation exaggeration setting (Normal is 1) in Tools / Options / 3D (see example for illustration)
