The second sculpture doesn’t get much attention on the internet (I think I can see why). Here is a clue:
This is a more traditional sculpture of one of the heroes of the sport. The distance to sculpture #2 is 8,499 metres. Sculpture #2 is located in a small town (officially a city) that hosts the most famous yearly tournament in the region. (It’s not in the town centre.)

The answer: The sculpture in the first image depicts the sport of (Basque) pelota, played in the Basque Country in Spain and France, but also in Latin America. Location: Guernica (Basque: Gernika), province of Biscay, Spain. 43.3174°N, 2.6789°W The sculpture in the second image, named De keatsers, refers to kaatsen (Dutch) or keatsen (Frisian), a sport very similar to pelota. It is played almost exclusively in the Dutch province of Friesland/Fryslân. Location: outside Franeker (Frisian: Frjentsjer). 53.1939°N, 5.5409°E Location of the sculpture in the clue: Harlingen (Frisian: Harns). 53.1722°N, 5.4190°E
