Voronezh ranks 14th among Russia's largest cities, is the most important center in southern central Russia and located about 480 km (bee-line) south-southeast of Moscow.
The military depot is fenced /secured several times and is located near the city of Voronezh and an airfield. On the airfield are clearly visible fighter jets, bombers and combat helicopters stationed.
