Hope-X is a former spaceplane project of the former Japanese space agencies NASDA and NAL (now JAXA). Hope-X should have a length of 16.50 m, a span of 12.00 m and a total mass of 13000 kg with a payload of 2000 kg. The carrier was a modified single-stage H-IIA rocket. Although several space flights with smaller models successfully took place in 2003, the test program was temporarily suspended, but never resumed. Probably during the JAXA establishment, the project was canceled as too expensive and unprofitable in 2004. In the JAXA area (Chofu, Tokyo Prefecture) a full size strength test body of the HOPE-X is obtained.
