Rankings of Members

Just Curious how the ranking of a member is decided;


What is the criteria for moving from;

Newbie to Junior Member

Junior Member to Member and

Member to Full Member.

Hi JM, it's based on the number of posts, 10 for junior member, 50 for full member.  I think that's the default, it could be changed, but I don't think it has yet.

Thanks Noisette! But why am I being still shown as "Member"? Got a PM also from Tek on the subject and have replied to him also.

I'm not sure, there's something odd going on, because you have the two green stars of a full member.  Let's see what tek says.

Somehow, two members' group was set, during the registration process or later, to "Member".
What happens when this is the case is that a new item, "Member" is added to the Profile option "Display Group" and gets selected by default.
...or if that option is set to "Member" by the member themselves, their ranks, stars, roles are hidden from other members.

OK, too much confusing stuff. I tried to explain it simple. ;D

Ranking downgraded from "Expert" to "Member"



Till few days back it was "Expert" but I noticed today that it is showing as "Member".

Looks like it is a bug.

I think I've fixed it JM.  For some reason you were a member of the group "Members" which tek mentioned before.  I removed you from that, and now I see you are an "expert" again.

Yep, just been confirmed by proboards too, no idea why it was changed as I can't find any log for it, Cheers Noisette.
