Hi guys, I'm after some advice.
I would like to create a map with various points marked on it so that the user can browse through it and click on points of interest where it comes up with a picture and a description. Also I want to be able to mark specific routes between points.
So far Google Earth seems perfect. BUT I want this to also be a sat nav, so that as the user drives, the maps moves with the car whilst stil having all those places on it. The user would be using a tablet (Android based or Apple based). Also, it would have to be available offline ideally and it would have a lot of points and routes on it, so maybe split into let's say North, East, South and West layers to declutter and avoid lagging?
It's for tourists who hire cars to be able to explore the island themselves, quite often following specific scenic routes.
Is this even possible with Google Earth or if not, what other ways do you suggest?
I am not an I.T. expert and that's why I'm looking for some advice.
Thank you in advance
Dom
