The author of this book walked the length of the western front in the summer of 1986, from the North Sea to Switzerland. The place markers follow his route which, in turn, marks the approximate position of 'no man's land' as it was in the summer of 1916. I have made no attempt to catalogue well-known events of the war, rather I marked what I thought were little-known places and happenings. Please note, lest we forget, the enormous number of military cemeteries along the route.

I'd make sure this placemark is in the old GEC, because if it's in the GEC Layer there is a better chance of someone who might help you can find it.
