good find! not much I could dig up, whether if it is not a clue on SV by the road next to the artwork: and it stays a clue I cannot interpret...(: one statement can be done for sure by analyzing imagery with the GE time slider, that the fish become an island every time the water is high enough in the river, and then only can be appraoched by using the concrete blocks you can see on the riverbank. ... EDIT after some googleing managed to find out this is a feature of Cherry Land Road Station and Park, located in the "River Park" (河川敷公園) section. interactive map source: www.michinoeki-sagae.com/

In the forest near Ommen (Netherlands) you can see a fish-like clearing. Maybe with fishing pond. Attachments:Clearing.kmz (682 B)

... and that is how a collection starts to build up!
I am glad to welcome the first 'Giant fish land-art locations' thread in the history of GEC! (I cannot remember such, even from the oGEC era.)
can you provide some source to confirm, that your "dutch fishy-pond" is artificial? I mean: it's shape -I am not convinced about that it's shape were formed not by only natural processes.
it seems not a clearing for me but border of forest- and swampland. -of course "human-help" might have been involved, only would need some proof that this is (at least) partly artificial!

Unfortunately, I have no source. Only here. LINK I doubt it is a work of art. But is certainly man-made. The name of the area should be tuna.
