The Last Resting Place of Pelican 16

'Pelican 16' was a restored Shackleton bomber of the South African Airforce. She was en route to England to participate in the Summer air show circuit when, on the night of July 13 1994, she lost both starboard engines and was forced down to a belly landing. The crash site was in a war zone at the time but all crew members were sucessfully rescued. She was the only flying example of a Shackelton bomber.
