every time some stoopid geniuses reformat technology all they do is make it more complicated. Where's the tabs to highlight roads, photos, community kmz's? Or toolbar tabs to add a placemark. What a mess! And all websites for downloading google earth are sponsored and add stuff to your machine. I can't even get Google to show a download for older versions of google earth. Also it appears that the google earth directive is to cover the earth with a 3D model in place of realistic satellite images.

Hi SC, sounds like you may be talking about the Chrome version of Google Earth. That doesn't yet have all the tools you're used to in the desktop Google Earth. You can send feedback via the option in the menu to let the developers know what you would be interested in. The desktop Google Earth Pro is still available and still being updated. You can download and install it from here. Older version are available here. Those are official Google sites and shouldn't include any malware or extra programs.

THANX Noise! that worked. It should be easier, I mean to download the real thing, instead of sponsored links, They suck.
